Who, what, why: Taking inspiration from groups like the Post-A-Letter Social Activity Club (in Toronto and around the world) and the South Side Letter Writing Club in Chicago, we aim to encourage meaningful communication among zinesters and other lovers of snail mail and the handwritten word. Because nothing compares to the feeling of happiness and anticipation when finding letters and postcards in yr mailbox.
What was once called my letter-writing club has now turned into Quiet Parties. Feel free to bring stationery, crafts, sewing projects and whatever tickles yr fancy.
When: Every Sunday, noon ’til dinnertime.
Where: At the Tulip Farm (aka the lovely apartment that I share with my roommate-soulmate in St-Henri). 344 rue St-Ferdinand, Montréal. Nearest métro is Place-Saint-Henri on the orange line. Or start your own!
